Leo Travers is a recurring character on The Messengers. He is portrayed by actor Justin Bruening.

Biography Edit

Leo Travers is a research scientist who attended the same University as Vera Buckley. After dating Vera for six months, Leo was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease. After seeing his grandmother care for his grandfather who also had Huntington's Disease, Leo broke off his relationship with Vera, claiming to be in love with another woman.

In 1.03 Path to Paradise, Vera's work colleague Alan comes over to tell her he found a guy who specializes in meteorites, without guessing Vera knows it's Leo.

Leo is introduced in Vera's flashback of their breakup. They had been dating for six months, and Vera had some exciting news she was going to share with him, That is until Leo told her he met someone else and it "wasn't fair to her".

When Vera and Alan go to meet Leo at his research lab, she is astounded to find that Leo is in a wheelchair. He explains that his grandfather had Huntington's and that it was a burden he was not willing to put on her, also knowing how desperately she wanted a baby.

In 1.08 A House Divided, Vera meets with Leo to discuss something which as it turns out to be, their son Michael which he didn't know about.

Relationships Edit

They were together for 6 months until he lied to her about having an affair with another woman without telling her the actual truth as to why. After seven years, they meet up again to find out more about the genesis stone. Vera then later tells him he is a father and Michael was kidnapped.
